If you ask us which invitation is our pride and joy, it is these egg wedding invitations.  Our bride and groom had a very modern style but were getting married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns which is a working farm with many varieties of chickens.  Diana and Parag really wanted to send a personal note to each guest in a real chicken egg!  We purchased blue chicken eggs that were blown out and cleaned.  The bride and groom wrote personal notes to each guest on velum and we managed to get the note inside the eggs. (A trade secret, we’ll never reveal!)  The nest were handmade with wood shavings and a small note with the words “Crack Open” was pinned to the nest with a white stick pin. Inside the note, we had a small note about the farm to explain to gets the significance of the egg.

The rest of the egg wedding invitations were very modern.  Each printed wedding invitation was a very thick cream invitation printed with embossed silver foil.  The invitations were placed on top of the nest and egg and the custom constructed boxes had a section to hold the inserts on the right side.  We designed a quatrefoil pattern and the entire box was printed with the pattern in silver foil.  Silver out boxes were the perfect shipper for the boxes and were required to be shipped by UPS to each guest!
