Introducing the "Kate" Invitation

Kate came to me with the crazy new design she had seen on Wedding Bee. But the photos she had were very different than the ultimate design. The invitation was five 5×7 panels – instead of small inserts. I simply fell in love with the idea and started coming up with ideas to make it “mine”. The sample she had was a contemporary layout. The panels were held together with a hole in the upper corner and tied together with ribbon. The style just didn’t fit Kate. I wanted to make it more formal for Kate’s event. I came up with this set of panels that were held together with a sash, custom printed with the guest’s names. Another issue with the sample she showed me was the RSVP. We couldn’t tell where it was even pictured, let alone how it might have been included in the set. I came up with the idea to attach it inside the front cover.

We tossed with designs for weeks and Kate fell in love with this paisley design with swirls and scrolls behind. Every panel in this amazing invitation is designed differently and I love the four colors and font. The custom stamps and envelopes just complete the overall look of what turn out to be a crazy unique invitation. Thanks Kate – for believing in my ability to create an invitation that was not only totally “you”, but gave me a kick in a new direction of invitation design.
