Lisa’s Letterpress

When Lisa met with me, she had NO idea what she wanted. She had even bought some sample invitation and hated all of them. So I asked what she loved about the wedding. She pulled out a picture of her cake with tiny black ribbon tied in a simple bow on each layer. I immediately remembered an invitation that I had pulled out of Martha Stewart Weddings last year. I had used the same invitation – funny enough – as my inspiration for Maureen’s Halloween wedding where I tied thread around her inserts. Lisa loved it and wanted it exactly like it.

I used the picture as inspiration and changed the fonts and did my own thing on the inserts. The black thread is so beautiful and different. And the letterpress is 600gsm and so thick you can’t even compare it to any other invitation you’ve ever had in your hands.
