Melissa + John: Silk Folios in Die Cut Envelopes
Silk wedding invitations are likely my most favorite medium for wedding invitations. Not only are they extraordinarly luxurious and unique, but there are so many options to customize the wedding invitations. {Images in this post are courtesy of Kristen Taylor Photography}
Melissa’s design was inspired from the five petal flowers that were on her wedding cake design.
The front of the silk folio was designed with the same five petal flower and golden centers with a swirl and it was embroidered with silk thread.
The inside of the folio had a silk pocket to hold all of the inserts.
And my favorite new feature of these invitations is the custom die cut wedding envelopes. They were printed inside and out with a beautiful vintage style flap.
The envelopes were made from cardstock and designed as a box mailer. Each was custom designed with matching custom postage and printed with machine calligraphy.
All of Melissa’s wedding reception items can be seen here.
Hello, I love the envelopes, can you share what the cost of custom converted envelopes would be? I’m assuming that the inital cost will be high as they have to set up the die?
My name is Kimberly and I am the Communications Coordinator for a specialty pharmacy in Oklahoma City. I wasn’t sure if you could help me but we are looking to send out holiday gifts to our clients. Instead of cookies, or wine we wanted to give a donation to our regional food bank on behalf of each client. That being said we wanted to have very nice postcard sized letters that explained the donation and we wanted to hand them out in very nice envelope boxes. I am having a really hard time finding anyone who sells/designs envelope boxes. We wanted them to be hard (not flimsy cardboard) boxes perhaps with a small magnetic closer or nicely wrapped with ribbon. Since they aren’t being mailed the weight, size, etc. is of no concern to us. If you think this is something you can do please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call at 405.548.4848 ext. 100. We are wanting to get these gifts out after Thanksgiving so there is a slight time constraint. Thanks in advance for your help.
