Purple and Gold Wedding Invitations

Jennifer and Matthew’s wedding was at the stunning Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athens, Pennsylvania. Jennifer absolutely loved the architecture of the estate and the venue was the inspiration for her invitations. Their Cairnwood Estate wedding was full of details and the flower etching on the invitations was inspired directly from the ceilings and wall design of the estate.

How do you organize inserts in a wedding invitation?

The rule is always to organize the inserts in the order the guest will need the information. The rsvp card and its envelope goes first since that is the first thing your guests should do – send in their reply. For Jennifer and Matthew’s wedding, the ceremony and reception were both at the Cairnwood Estate. Therefore, we only needed another insert for directions and Accommodations. I tied all of the inserts into the left side of their folded card invitation with matching purple ribbon.

Do I need an inner envelope?

Invitation etiquette says that wedding invitations are placed inside an ungummed inner envelope before they are put into the outer envelope. But what environmentally conscious bride or groom uses inner envelopes anymore? This is a great alternative to the inner envelope! Each guest gets a little surprise when they open the envelope to see their names personalized on the front of the invitation.
