Rupal’s Indian and Chinese Wedding Reception
Rupal and Tien’s wedding reception was one of the most unique in themes. I worked with Misty of Bells and Bliss on this amazing reception. Rupal is Indian and Tien is Chinese. Rupal’s family wanted a very traditional Indian ceremony for the wedding, but Rupal and Tien’s style is very modern. So the families compromised by doing very different looks and themes for all of the events of the evening. The evening before the wedding, there was the Mehendi Ceremony and I did really fun Trivia Challenge cards for the guests to answer.
My favorite part is where it looks like Rupal wrote in that she was marrying Brad Pitt and crossed it off and put in Tien. 😉
I designed their wedding programs with their Genesha and Double Happiness monogram.
I also designed labels for different parts of the events. Their were lemon scented tea towels at the wedding ceremony and then bags of bottled water with the Genesh and Double Happiness symbol. The cocktail hour was a Moroccan theme and I designed a Moroccan style monogram label that went on Chinese carry out boxes.
The seating chart was displayed inside the Moroccan cocktail hour so the seating poster followed that theme.
The wedding reception was done in modern Silver and Navy colors. The table numbers were designed with yet another monogram to follow the modern theme.
I love the dinner menus. they are very modern in their layout and were printed with silver ink on navy cardstock!
