Silk Wedding Invitations – Our Favorites
Silk wedding invitations are by far our favorite luxury wedding invitations. We have put together a sampling of the different styles we have designed.
Panel Silk Wedding Invitations
Silk Panel style invitations are the most economical of the silk wedding invitations. Made of a silk padded board, the silk colors are endless. They are very versatile with the embellishments. For Meghan’s silk pad invitation, we added a beautiful brooch with two rows of rhinestones and Antique Gold ribbon that wrapped around to the back of the invitation to hold the inserts in place. We designed a similar style padded silk wedding invitation for Vera with deep brown silk, a custom infinity rhinestone brooch. The invitations were printed with stunning brown foil.
Silk Folio Wedding Invitations
The most popular style of silk invitations is the folio. Gourmet Invitations has done many storybook wedding invitations with silk folios. Embroidering the cover of folios adds a beautiful design to customize the silk invitation covers. Stephanie’s silver silk invitations were embroidered with their S and M monogram with orchids vines. Alice’s storybook Alice in Wonderland themed invitations were made from a pale gold raw silk and antique gold embroidery.
Silk Box Wedding Invitations
Boxes made of silk have been very popular for years. Megan’s black silk boxes had a padded lid and opened to reveal a custom rhinestone “ball” that slid down ribbon on the invitation inspired by the Times Square New Year’s Eve ball drop. A silk pocket on the lid held all of the inserts for her New Year’s Eve Wedding. Jessica’s amazing silk box save the dates were screen printed with their custom logo and held small gifts for the guests.

Of all the silk wedding invitations, the gatefold and tri-fold style are definitely the most luxurious. These silk invitations are larger and open to reveal two pockets on the gates. Joy’s blush pink and silver invitations were printed with silver foil and raised blush pink ink. The custom brooch was made with rhinestones and pearls and held the gatefolds closed with silver ribbon bands. Nicole’s silver silk trifold invitations were embroidered with their N and J monogram. The invitations were engraved with beveled hand paint edges of silver and black. Black lace held the inserts in place. Our navy blue silk gatefolds were featured in Bride and Bloom magazine. The gatefolds were held shut with strands of fresh water pearls and a stunning navy blue cameo.
