The NEW Monica "L" fold Invitation!
I’m not sure if I’ve ever been this excited about an invitation design. This one is definitely my craziest design ever. I was inspired by a recent invitation that I saw in “Bride and Bloomâ„¢” magazine. When I went to the designer’s website, I was shocked that it was actually an “L” shaped card. I showed it to Monica – who as a designer, wanted something totally new – and she loved it.
But my problem was how to make it mine. We chose this printed bold leaf pattern as the main design and took it over the top by using green as the accent color. I made a layered RSVP postcard – my first. A map and Rehearsal Dinner insert, completed the package that is secured with a sash of green.
My craziness is in these sashes. I knew I was doing one on the outside with the guest’s names, but I thought it would be so fun to do another sash holding the “L” down that would be a little surprise for her guests. Then in the wee hours of the morning, I came up with the idea to put their names on the two sashes so that they made another design on the back. Brown envelopes with a green envelope wraps complete what is an amazing invitation.
I have to give Monica a ton of credit. She was very involved in the design, but I asked if most of it could be a surprise. She had no idea how it would look finished and didn’t know how any of the sashes would be placed. Her first time seeing the total design was tonight at pick up. So thanks for letting me have a ton of fun and believing that I could design something totally new for you. 🙂
