I’ve been anticipating these invitations for a long time. They really are one of my favorite all time set. Again, on this set, I’ve made each and every element of the invitation new and like a little surprise. The bright, deep purple pocketfolds have a large seal on the front that is attached in a […]
At Elizabeth’s consult, she mentioned that she wanted to do a subtle diamond theme for her invitations. We discussed adding a Swarovski Crystal somewhere on the invitations. Over time, we dropped that idea and Elizabeth decided she wanted the diamond more in the way the graphic was presented. When searching for something totally unrelated, I […]
Garden Theme and Damask sure are the big things this year. Cami has a VERY colorful wedding and reception that choosing colors was difficult. Cami decided to go with Slate Grey and I think the choice was wonderful. We matched the graphic to the slate grey. She accented the pieces with lavender metallic envelopes and […]
I don’t even know what to call this pattern! It is not really damask, and not plumes, but they are more than scrolls. Whatever it is, I love how different these are. We did the bold red invitation with the text set off center on the invitation. She is my first bride to go for […]
Alysia is another It’s a Shore Thing Bride. She is getting married at Eden Gardens State Park in Santa Rosa Beach, FL and wanted a very garden feel to the invitations. She was thrilled when we found this fleur de lis graphic that has the garden feel, but masculine also. Her envelopes in pale green […]
Since Jennifer told me her color combination – blue and red – I’ve been anticipating these invitations. When we first talked about it, she said she wanted red backing with white invitation printed with blue accents. But white really isn’t in her color combination and, to me, adding white makes the invitations patriotic. So I […]
Every once in a while I get asked to do a more traditional invitation. Lisa’s is what I think of as more traditional, but with fun modern elements. The hot pink elements on the invitation, postcard RSVP and the custom stamps on the outer envelope were just that.
I was thrilled when Jackie contacted me. She is in one of the most expensive invitation markets in the country – New York City. She had gotten crazy outrageous quotes for custom invitations when she found me. We ended up doing one of my most lavish invitations – a complete set of letterpress invitations, with […]
Jackie has my most formal invitations of the year (see her post above). Even her Save the Dates were formal. For the rehearsal, she wanted to do something VERY fun. the dinner is at Adobe Grill in Chicago and she wanted to do a Margarita theme! I chose these brilliant green envelopes with yellow liners. […]
Black is becoming my favorite color scheme. No matter the design, the colors are stunning and classic. Megan’s very modern iris graphic is another example of this. I did her candle and table numbers. But the best piece is the wedding seating chart that I did white on black.
