Gold Damask Invitation

We LOVE working with families over and over.  The Dewitt family has two children and I designed invitations for Mark and Genevieve that you can visit here.  Rebecca’s wanted a gold damask invitation and we couldn’t be happier with the results.  The gold damask is printed with foil on all of the pieces – and there were lots of pieces!

1. Gold Damask Invitation

The first step is to design the invitations.  We always give our clients three choices to choose from when we start the design process.  Rebecca ultimately chose this gold damask pattern.  We put a black backer behind the invitation and framed the black text with a vintage border.  Everything is shown inside a custom gold pocket invitation.

2. Damask Inserts

Once the invitation design is all set, we proceed with the insert designs.  The response card has places to note meal choices with the classic “accepts with pleasure” and “declines with regret” responses.  The rsvp envelope is black with the gold damask pattern over the entire flap. Gorgeous!  A wedding at The Colony Club always poses a design challenge because The Colony Club requires a parking pass. The reception card is unique in that the parking ticket for the Colony Club tore off of the bottom to hand to the parking attendant!

3. Rehearsal Dinner Invitation

For this gold damask invitation, we put a damask rehearsal dinner invitation in the suite for only the guests invited to the dinner! This reduces a mailing, design fee and more postage.  The invitation for the rehearsal dinner at The Whitney in Detroit is printed with gold foil on a black suede cardstock.

4. Black Envelopes with Gold Damask

The final step is the envelope design.  Black suede soft feel cardstock is die-cut and printed with a gold foil damask pattern.  Each guest’s address is printed with gold ink that matches the design and fonts of the invitations.
