Art Deco Wedding Invitations

Art deco wedding invitations have been in style for years and became even more popular with the release of the movie, The Great Gatsby.  Rebecca and Michael started their design process with their save the dates.  We discussed the look of the invitations in depth and knew that the art deco wedding invitations were going to be all gold and ivory.  Rebecca did want to include black in the save the dates and we designed a gorgeous black save the date with gold foil.  The typography and design directly led us to the design of the invitations.

We started with designing an art deco fan pattern.  The invitation had art deco fonts and a fun layout for the date and their names.  The front of their custom pocketfold had a very thick die cut seal that matched the frame of the invitation. Inside the custom shaped pocket on the inside of the invitations, we included a matching card for information about The Lazy Swan wedding reception.  Rebecca’s family has a theater background and we gave a nod to that with the art deco ticket style response card.
