Wood Wedding Invitation – In the Press

Wood Wedding Invitation

Jennifer and Tim were having an elegant rustic wedding and wanted a wood wedding invitation. Jennifer’s goal was to set the tone for the wedding with the rustic look of the wood and pairing it with the elegant look of a blush pink suede envelope. To say her guests were thrilled is an understatement.

Custom details

Sometimes, custom details aren’t obvious. Jennifer loved the look of the handwritten letters flowing off the edge of the wood invitation. I followed the same text style for all of the inserts as well. The text even flowed off of the rsvp envelope and outer envelope address. This required me to design every envelope individually and have the envelope cardstock printed and then folded into an envelope. It’s the attention to detail on items like this that your guests will appreciate!

Wedding Invitation Signs

Almost every wedding needs at least one wedding sign. Signature drink signs, bar menus signs, and guestbook signs are some of the most popular. For Jennifer’s wedding, I designed a bar menu that included their signature drinks. The drinks were named after their time in the military. Jennifer’s Airforce inspired “Fly Girl” and Tim’s Marine Corps inspired “Devil Dog”, along with the wines and beers, are front and center on their framed bar menu sign. Jennifer and Tim hired a taxi service for their guests. The taxi info was then listed on this “please don’t drink and drive” wedding sign.

Wood Name Cutouts

Place cards have taken a whole new look now that laser cutting is so affordable. For Jennifer’s wedding, the head table had each person’s name cut out of wood! They are very delicate and require extra care – especially those dots over the i’s and j’s. This is one of the custom elements that your guests will walk away with a true keepsake. Not to mention how touched they will be by your creativity!

When I first started out, I was obsessed with Style Me Pretty. It was the first wedding blog of it’s kind and truly has changed the look and trends of the entire wedding industry. So I was beyond thrilled when Style Me Pretty published Jennifer and Matthew’s wood wedding invitation and wedding.
