Brianna + Christopher: Chicago World’s Fair Wedding Invitations
I have been talking to Brianna for over a year now about her amazing theme wedding – The Chicago World’s Fair! After many different idea concepts, we decided to do a custom pocket invitation with very unique inserts.
The invitation was designed with the Chicago skyline and fireworks for the festive feel that her wedding will have. The front was inspired by a vintage Chicago World’s Fair poster.
The colors are all in jewel tones of sapphire, amethyst and ruby. The invitation was very festive with cobalt blue feathers and a vintage frame around their monogram.
For the response card, I designed it to look like a vintage postcard. Brianna wanted the Navy Pier Ferris wheel to go another with the carnival atmosphere of the wedding.
The back of the postcard is designed with a custom stamp and their fireworks design elements.
The reception card was designed with a vintage photo of the Shed Museum – the location of the wedding reception. It was designed as a hang tag for the guest to place on their rear view mirror for parking.
Included in the pocket is a full fold out map detailing locations in downtown Chicago.
The back of the map has important information about times and shuttles.
Some guests will also receive this fireworks rehearsal dinner invitation.
Gorgeous metallic red envelopes completed one of the most design intensive invitations that I have done to date. Thanks to Katie of Dettagli Weddings for all of her hard work on this set as well.
Tifany,
This is just an unbelievable ensemble! The thought and creativity that went into this is brilliant.
Boy, I have good taste in choosing great wedding pros to work with:)
