Purple and Gold Fusion Invitations
These gorgeous purple and gold fusion invitations were designed for a unique situation. Pooja is Indian and Sean is Catholic. Pooja really wanted the invitations to reflect a mix of their two backgrounds. The pocketfold invitation contains the information for all of the various events. The first event was the Sangeet. Secondly, there was the Baraat and Hindu ceremonies. The third event was the Catholic ceremony, and finally the wedding reception. The pocketfolds are wrapped with a gold belly designed with the ornate pattern. I also designed their monogram that I placed into a section of the pattern. The belly band wraps around the invitation to keep the entire piece in one package.
Pooja wanted some Indian details on the invitation. I placed a gold rhinestone in the center of each design along with a swirled accent of gold foil. A tiny butterfly is also printed with foil as a symbol to Pooja’s family. The ornate pattern was then printed on all of the inserts in the pocket. Her RSVP card is chock full of information, including places to reply for each of the events and to request transportation. The largest and last insert in the pocket contained information for the hotel and directions.
Sangeet Invitation
My favorite insert is the invitation to the Sangeet. Pooja wanted the Sangeet invitation to be fun. I included a graphic of a sitar, dholak, and a Western-style guitar for Sean. I incorporated Pooja’s colors of purple, gold, and red into the invitation. The red is present in the Sangeet instruments. Finally, the gold outer envelopes are addressed with the same fonts and styles as the invitations. The ornate pattern is even printed across the top of the envelope.
